There isn't a best if you don't specify what you want the Warrior to do. Look in the Warrior forum and ask again there with what you want your Warrior to do if you don't see anything. Closed.

The 2nd profession of your warrior will totally depend on how you intend to play him.Solo,team,PvP,Pve,etc. Is he going to be the warrior's warrior and use nothing but weapons and warrior skills,or do you want him to be versatile as a secondary healer/caster of sorts. That is your first decision to make. It all boils down to what he/she will be doing as a character.

For a Warrior Monk, you can become a paladin. Use a sword to make the enemy bleed and then if you take too much damage just heal. For Warrior Ranger, you can use beast mastery which means you can have a pet to fight along side you (then you can use IWAY). For Warrior Necro, you can use axe, hammer, or sword, but also train in blood magic for health degen. For a Warrior Mesmer, you can train in illusion so lets just say you're attacking a monk that is running away, you can hex the monk and make him move slower so you can kill him. For Warrior Elementalist, you can become a good knockdown hammer warrior or a powerful Earth Defense Warrior. Its your choice.

I would advise you not to go Warrior/Monk (for Healing Prayers), given the Warrior's pitiful energy pool and regen. Let your Monk heal you. W/Mo can be used for adding smites to your attacks, however.

In PvE, the Warrior is a tank. In PvP, the Warrior is a very capable damage dealer.
